Our Houston adventure started with a trip to Space Center Houston, where we got to learn all about space missions and even see real spacecraft. The kids were thrilled to touch a moon rock and see astronauts’ suits. It felt like we were on a mission to space ourselves!
2. Get Wild at the Houston Zoo
Next, we visited the Houston Zoo, home to over 6,000 animals. Walking through the African Forest and seeing the elephants up close was a highlight. The zoo is huge, so there was plenty to explore, making it a great day out for animal lovers.
3. Discover at the Children’s Museum Houston
The Children’s Museum Houston was a hit with its interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity and imagination. From science experiments to a kid-sized city, the museum provided endless fun and learning opportunities.

Hermann Park was our next stop, offering a beautiful green space in the heart of the city. We enjoyed a peaceful boat ride on McGovern Lake and had fun riding the miniature train that winds through the park.

Experiencing a Houston Astros game at Minute Maid Park was unforgettable. The excitement of the crowd, the thrill of the game, and the family-friendly atmosphere made it a home run for our whole family. Plus, the kids loved the train that runs inside the park!

The Health Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, made learning about the human body fun and engaging. The interactive exhibits, like the giant walk-through brain and the real-life operation game, were both educational and entertaining for the kids.

We wrapped up our Houston adventure with a day of fun in the sun at Typhoon Texas Houston. With water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was the perfect way to cool down and have a blast.
